Good stories for later...

Here's a couple just from this weekend that I'd like to refer to when the girls get older...

Saturday morning, Molly and I went to Braums for some yummy breakfast. Molly wanted a biscuit for breakfast, so I ordered the staple "Big Country Breakfast". That comes with tater tots that they call hashbrowns, sausage, biscuit, and eggs. I have a hangup on the tater tots, but that's for a different time. While we were waiting for our food to be prepared, we took one straw and repeatedly blew the paper cover of the straw at each other like blowdarts. That's always a good time with Molly. When our food came, I gave Molly the biscuit as agreed upon. She took the straw and poked the biscuit and proceeded to eat the biscuit through the straw. I thought I had a pretty good handle on gross things, but that hit me a little funny.

Lucy gets on the board with a little embarrassing moment at church on Sunday. She spit up on the jacket of the lady sitting in front of us. She explained that she was a special ed teacher and that it was no big deal. Pretty gross stuff!

Sitting Lucy

I got a call from Mommy on Thursday morning and Mommy was frantic. I heard a very excited Mommy who has an unreal talent of speaking incredibly fast. I do not have a complimentary talent, so all I could do is wait for her to take a breath to break in and ask for a slow motion replay. She's a very understanding wife! On the replay, I got that our little Lucy sat up for the first time! That was the great news. The bad news was that the frenzied picture taking failed because there was no memory card in the camera.

I'll explain. That morning, I woke up to do the morning shift with Lucy. Lucy's morning shift can be anywhere from 5:30 to 7:45 in the morning lasting no longer than 45 minutes in length. Lucy wakes up, eats, and then starts jabbering and singing. Thursday morning, I decided to get the pictures off of the camera from our camping trip and Halloween during my morning shift with Lucy. When Lucy decides it's time to go back to sleep, that's just about the time you stop whatever you're doing and help her go back to sleep. So my project was left unfinished that day and as luck would have it, that was the day that Lucy sat up for the first time. Go figure!

Halloween was a blast! Molly was dressed as a bride and Lucy was dressed like a tootsie roll. We stayed in our neighborhood and met some neighbors that we have not met before and ran into some friends. It was good times!
